Affiliation and Course of Study

The school prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE 10th & ISC 12th). from the nursery classes to +2 and every student is required to take the following subjects as course of study:

• English Punjabi Hindi Mathematics
• Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)
• History, Civics, Geography
• Physical Education/Computer Applications General Knowledge
• Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service (from I to X)
• Environmental Education (from Class I-VIII only)

ICSE pass certificate will be awarded to candidate who attain the pass marks for all subjects. However, it is compulsory to secure a pass grade in S.U.P.W.

ISC Section (Classes XI-XII) accepts students who have passed ICSE or its equivalent, and prepares them for the Indian School Certificate Examination of the Council, in two streams:

i) Science Stream (Med. & Non-Med.) and

i) Commerce Stream

• Physical Education

Group II: Non-Medical Stream

Group III: Commerce Stream

• Physical Education

Selection Criteria:

• The ISC is a seperate course. Admission to it is entirely at the discretion of the school authorities even for the students who have completed the ICSE at St. Joseph's Sen. Sec. School, Defence Colony Jalandhar.
• Admission will be mainly on merit.
• Provisional admission will be granted on the basis of marks obtained in the Pre-Board Exams with a nominal provisional fee which will not be returned in case a student withdraws later. Pass mark in English is compulsory.
